Our County-wide 800 MHz Radio System was the 3rd  trunked system in Ohio. We have completed a County Wide Mobile Data Network to allow Public Safety users access to critical information from vehicles and fixed control points.

 

We achieved carrier status during 1995 making us a new type of telephone company called an Other Local Common Carrier. By designing, installing, and maintaining these complex systems, Telecommunication offers Warren County progressive technology at an affordable cost with the best service for our users.

Our Department has the responsibility to design, construct and maintain the following:

1.County wide Public Safety Mobile Radio Systems for:

A.      All Police, Fire and EMS.

B.     B. Most Public Service Communication, (Road departments, snow plows, city services & Public works.)

C.     C. County Wide fire paging and weather Siren Activation System.

D.     D. Emergency "HOT BOX " radios/cellular phones for call out by Public Safety Officials.

2. Multi-Agency Telephone Systems

A.      We serve 96 County, State and Federal Agencies/Departments.

3. Computer Data Networks,(LAN/WAN)

A.      Fiber optic, copper, and coaxial systems.

4. Miscellaneous supporting sub-systems.

A.      Microwave radio network, (576 voice and data channels)

B.     Emergency power systems, (generators and battery banks.)

C.     Communication Towers, (8 sites ranging from 140 to 500 ft. in height)

D.     Telephone Call Accounting System for cost recovery.

E.     Pay phone and private calling cards systems, (DISA)

F.      Information Management, (schematic and system drawings, 911, wire/cable maintenance, inventory, radio, cellular telephones and pagers.
